Amy Hancher NPC

Amy Hancher, FNP-C, has been a valued member of the Kids Healthcare team since 2021, bringing a wealth of pediatric experience and a deep passion for children’s health. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, she graduated from Columbia City High School in 1985 and earned her Diploma RN from Parkview School of Nursing in 1988.

Amy’s love for pediatrics was inspired by accompanying her little brother to therapy sessions at Riley Children’s Hospital. Her career began in the NICU, where she worked as a flight nurse and charge nurse, gaining invaluable experience. She later pursued travel nursing, even living in South America. In 2003, Amy completed her BSN and went on to earn her Master’s degree at Indiana Wesleyan University.

With over 15 years in Complex Pediatrics, Amy has extensive knowledge in managing diverse pediatric health needs. Married to her husband Chris, a retired respiratory therapist and Army veteran, she’s also a proud mom of two children, one of whom has ADHD—a journey that’s taught her patience and resilience. Her family includes three spoiled dogs, a cool cat, and a love for motorcycle rides on their Heritage Softail.

Amy’s dedication to pediatric care and her warm, approachable nature make her an integral part of the Kids Healthcare team. She’s honored to support families and help children thrive.
